Wardha. Two months have been completed since the strike of ST workers started from October 28 in the district, despite this, 95 percent of the employees in the district still did not return to work. Leaving the depot, 29 buses ran from the other four depots.
Let us inform that 65 days have been completed since the strike of ST employees in the district, the employees are adamant on the demand of merger of ST Mahamandal with the state government, in this a group decided to withdraw the strike, as a result some workers returned to work but their number ST buses are not running as before due to scarcity.
Notice has been issued to 61 employees
More than two months after the strike, the condition of the passengers is getting worse, in the meantime, suspension action was taken on about three hundred personnel in the district, while 61 people have been sent notices of termination of service, the government has fulfilled some demands including salary increase. The workers were asked to return to work, but the ST workers in the district are adamant on their demand, while it has been decided to continue the agitation till the main demand is met.
Loss of crores to the depot of Mahamandal
On Friday, 29 buses are reported to run from these four depots of the district, Talegaon, Arvi, Pulgaon, Hinganghat, while not a single bus has run from Wardha depot so far. Students and citizens are suffering due to non-availability of buses in rural areas, on the other hand ST Mahamandal has suffered a loss of crores of rupees due to the start of strike since last 65 days.
