The famous auction house Christie said on Tuesday that it was auctioning a bottle of French wine.
Wine from the ‘outside world’ came to earth
There has been such a wine on Earth, which is not from this world only. It may sound a bit strange to hear, but the case is similar. It is to be noted here that hearing the price of this wine will blow the senses of good people. Actually, this wine has come through Space and is now available for sale on Earth. The price of this wine is on the ‘seventh sky’. In such a situation, people are saying that to buy this wine, they may have to break their fix deposit.
The famous auction house Christie said on Tuesday that it was auctioning a bottle of French wine. This bottle of liquor was kept outside the earth at the International Space Station (ISS) for more than a year. The auction house hopes that connoisseurs of liquor can pay up to 1 million dollars (Rs 7.3 crore) to buy it.
A slight change in the taste of the wine
In November 2019, 12 bottles of wine were sent to the ISS by researchers exploring the possibility of agriculture in space (outside the atmosphere), one of which is ‘The Petrus 2000’. According to a wine tasting expert in France, there is a slight change in the taste of this wine, which returned to the earth after 14 months. Christie’s International Director of the Wine and Spirit Department, Tim Tiptree, said that the wine in space has matured into a different environment with zero gravity. He said that this bottle of liquor worth 10 thousand dollars has now turned into scientific innovation.
Alcohol was sent into the Earth’s orbit in November 2019
Tim Tiptree said that it is a very good wine, which can last for a long time. This is the reason why I was selected for this test. He said, it is very good to know that it was delicious even after returning to the earth. A startup company called ‘Space Cargo Unlimited’ sent it into the orbit of Earth in November 2019. The reason behind this is to make the plants on the earth stronger for climate change and disease. Researchers want to better understand the aging process, fermentation and bubbles in wine.
Wine connoisseurs tasted and told what is the difference
The wine tasting test was conducted in the month of March at the ‘Institute of Wine and Wine Research’ located in Bordeaux, France. Dozens of liquor connoisseurs tasted liquor bottles that came to Earth from space and liquor bottles similar to that on earth. They found that the taste of the bottles of wine from the space has changed a bit, but it is very difficult to identify it. At the same time, after this test, this wine was given to Christie for auction.
