Shahjahanpur/Bareilly: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Friday took a veiled jibe at Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on Jinnah. Nadda, however, did not take the name of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Addressing the ‘Effective Voter’s Dialogue’, Nadda said, “Why is it that Akhilesh Yadav today remembers the man responsible for the partition of India, why does he not remember Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united the country. Did.”
Significantly, in his address at an event held in Hardoi on October 31, 2021, Yadav equated Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He had said, “Sardar Patel, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and (Muhammad Ali) Jinnah studied in the same institute and became barristers. He helped (India) get freedom and never backed down from any struggle.”
Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party, Nadda claimed, “The SP’s manifesto has land mafia, sand mafia, kidnapping mafia and industry mafia, women were unsafe in their government, law and order situation was very bad.” Today the mafia is either surrendering or going to jail, or leaving Uttar Pradesh. SP candidates are either in jail or on bail.” On Friday, Nadda targeted the opposition parties Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress and counted the achievements of BJP’s central and state government.

Nadda said, “Samajwadi Party has never come to ask for votes on the basis of work, they make new promises every time in elections and go ahead, but Bharatiya Janata Party has progressed on the basis of report card only.” He asked the workers whether the Samajwadi Party came to seek votes in 2017 on the basis of work. He said that ‘every time SP comes with new promises during elections and goes ahead later but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taught that now the party will move ahead on the basis of report card and by doing what the BJP has said. Before 2014, there used to be an agriculture budget of Rs 22 thousand crore, but now this budget is of Rs 1 lakh 23 thousand crore. This budget tells whose dedication is for the farmers. The Prime Minister has also done the work of giving one and a half times the cost of the farmers.
Targeting the Congress, the BJP leader said that the Congress government waived loans worth Rs 51 thousand crore in ten years, but till now, one lakh 80 thousand crore rupees have been sent to the accounts of 10 crore 50 lakh farmers in the BJP government through the Prime Minister’s Kisan Nidhi. . He gave data-wise details of schemes launched for the welfare of farmers. Accusing BSP chief Mayawati, Nadda said, “22 sugar mills were sold and 19 closed in Uttar Pradesh under Mayawati’s government, while 11 sugar mills were closed under Akhilesh Yadav’s government.”
He said that under Yogi Adityanath’s rule, three sugar mills have increased and one lakh 40 thousand crore rupees were paid to the farmers, including the remaining 11 thousand crore rupees during the Akhilesh Yadav government. Nadda sought votes for BJP candidate from Shahjahanpur assembly constituency, Parliamentary Affairs and Finance Minister Suresh Khanna by contacting voters in Khirni Bagh locality of the city.
Later in Bareilly, Nadda said, “SP, BSP or Congress, they are all one family party. They have only benefited their families. For BJP, party is family. Our motto is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.” (agency)
