Amravati. Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced the opening of schools in Maharashtra from Monday 24 January for classes I to XII. He has also clarified the decision to open pre-primary schools with the precautions of corona virus (COVID-19). However, the district administration or the education administration did not receive any orders in this regard till late Thursday evening.
Due to which there is an atmosphere of confusion in the school administration including the parents. Because the state government had earlier instructed schools to keep offline classes closed till February 15. The collector will take the final decision on starting the school in Amravati district amidst increasing cases of corona virus after the mandate comes. The government has empowered the local administration to take decisions according to the current circumstances.

With the opening of the school, it has also been directed that only those children whose parents would like to send them to school with their consent, will be allowed to come. Apart from this, doses of corona vaccine will also be given to all the children, staff and teachers. According to Education Minister Gaikwad, after discussions with experts, it has been decided to start those sessions where the number of cases is less depending on the local corona virus situation.

Opinions of parents differ regarding starting schools. Due to the increase in the number of corona in the district day by day, some parents are worried about it. According to him, such risk should not be taken in such a situation. At the same time, some parents are in favor of starting schools as soon as possible, considering the educational loss of their children and saying that the danger of this wave is low. Similarly, according to the headmaster and teachers of the education sector, there is no harm in starting schools.
Discussion with the task force for strict ban – Guardian Minister
Due to the increasing number of corona patients in the district, Guardian Minister Ed. Yashomati Thakur has indicated to further tighten the restrictions in the district. Due to which she will soon discuss with the task force of the state. On the other hand, the district administration is also maintaining the figures of patients increasing daily. Appealing to the people to follow the Corona rules, Thakur said that there is no option but to be self-disciplined along with following the Trisutri to prevent infection.
