Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Nowshera sector of the border Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday morning, maintaining the tradition of celebrating Diwali with the soldiers of the Indian Army after assuming power in 2014. During this, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty in Nowshera. During this, he met the soldiers on the occasion of Diwali.

Official sources said that when PM Modi left his residence in the morning, there were very few security arrangements and no changes were made in the traffic route so that people are not inconvenienced.
News agency ANI has also released a video of it, in which it was told that when PM Modi left for Nowshera in the early hours of Thursday, there was minimum security on the road in Delhi and there were no traffic restrictions. After becoming the Prime Minister, Modi visited Siachen in 2014. Since then, every year on Diwali, he goes to a border area and meets the soldiers. The last time the Prime Minister visited the sector was in 2019, when he celebrated Diwali with Indian Army personnel.
Army Chief MM Naravane visited the area on Wednesday before the Prime Minister reached there. The Army Chief took full stock of the security situation there. Addressing the jawans, PM Modi said that I have spent every Diwali with the soldiers who guard our borders.
He said that today I have brought here with me the blessings of crores of Indians for my soldiers. PM Modi said that our jawans are the security shield of Maa Bharati. It is because of all of you that the people of our country are able to sleep peacefully and there is no place for happiness in festivals.
PM Modi said that on this evening a lamp of Deepawali, in the name of your valor, bravery, valor, sacrifice and penance, every citizen of India will continue to wish you many good wishes with the light of that lamp. He said that the role played by the brigade here in the surgical strike fills every citizen of the country with pride.
Significantly, the encounter between the terrorists hiding there and the security forces is going on for more than 20 days. Prime Minister Modi has been meeting Nowshera at more than one place on the day of Diwali and encourages them.
