Indore. During a program in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the basketball stadium erupted with applause when BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya mistakenly called the state’s Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia. He was called “Chief Minister” instead of “Chief Guest”. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media. Vijayvargiya was addressing the inaugural function of the 71st Junior National Basketball Championship at Indore.
Beginning his speech, he said, “The very successful youth sports minister of Madhya Pradesh present on the stage, today’s chief minister….” After saying this, the BJP General Secretary realized his mistake and, correcting the mistake, addressed Scindia as “Today’s Chief Guest”.

However, he jokingly said from the stage to the laughter of the audience, “It is said that sometimes the Saptarishis emerge from above (the sky) and they say – so be it, so be it, so be it.” Ho. Now the Chief Minister has come out of my mouth (for Scindia), so from above he must be saying that so be it, be like this, so be it.”
On the other hand, the opposition Congress has targeted the ruling BJP over this statement of Vijayvargiya about Scindia. State Congress spokesperson Neelabh Shukla said, “Vijayvargiya’s statement shows the dissatisfaction of senior BJP leaders with the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in the state and infighting in this party. The situation has become such that now even big leaders like Vijayvargiya have started openly praying for change of Chief Minister. Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Nishith Pramanik was also present on the dais of the inaugural ceremony of the 71st Junior National Basketball Competition.
