Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg has been forced to break the rule of Coronavirus lockdown. Police have imposed a fine of Rs 1.75 lakh on PM Solberg for breaking the lockdown rule. Actually, Norway’s PM broke the rules and organized a birthday party, so he had to pay a fine. However, PM Solberg could not even attend this party.
Police said that the birthday dinner organized by PM Solberg had more guests than the number scheduled for private events. In this way, a fine of 20 thousand Norwegian kronor (about 1.75 lakh rupees) has been imposed on the head of the country for violating the rules. Commissioner Ole Severud said in a press conference that the law is the same for everyone, whoever it may be. Solberg is the country’s leader and has been the leader in government decisions on measures to counter the epidemic on several occasions.
Birthday party held at ski resort
Public broadcaster NRK revealed in mid-March that Solberg had organized a birthday party on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The party was held at a ski resort and violated health guidelines. On 25 February, 13 members of PM’s family had dinner in a restaurant in Gillow town. Whereas the number of guests attending a private event is only up to 10 members.
Prime Minister Solberg apologized and said – should not have broken the rules
PM Solberg did not participate in this program, as he had to go to the hospital for his eye treatment. But the police still held him responsible for the event. After the incident unfolded, Solberg publicly apologized and said he was ready to pay possible fines. On Friday, the Prime Minister once again repeated her apology and said that she would not appeal against the decision of the police. He said, we should not have broken the rules and I want to apologize again.
PM’s image was clouded

Before the parliamentary election to be held on 13 September, the image being tarnished can prove to be dangerous for PM Solberg. The editor of a newspaper said that it is noteworthy that the Prime Minister of our country has faced scrutiny for breaking the rules. It becomes even more important that they have been convicted and fined.
