Weather Updates: Heavy rain expected in these states in next 5 days, IMD issued alert

Weather Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in the next 5 days in many parts of the country. Meanwhile, in other areas, there is a possibility of hailstorm at different places in the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to heavy rain and thundershowers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and interior parts of Karnataka during the next 5 days. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on October 25-26.

There is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh and North Haryana during the next 24 hours. Whereas in the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall at isolated places during the day. While the weather conditions will improve in the next 24 hours.

Earlier, the Meteorological Department said that there was snowfall in many parts of Lahaul and Spiti districts. Manali-Leh highway has been closed for normal traffic due to snowfall on Baralacha pass. According to the state’s disaster management department, 80 people were trapped in Lahaul-Spiti district on Thursday due to bad weather.
