Weather Forecast: It may rain in the national capital Delhi tonight and tomorrow i.e. on Thursday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain on Thursday. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which is expected to touch 28 degrees Celsius during the day, officials said.
Meanwhile, the national capital on Tuesday recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal. Today’s forecast shows that the minimum temperature will be around 10 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature may touch 28 degree Celsius in some parts of Delhi.
IMD scientist RK Jenamani told Hindustan Times that another western disturbance is expected to bring very light rain with surface winds of 25 to 35 kmph. The effect of Western Disturbance will be observed on Wednesday night while peak activity during the day is expected on Thursday.

He further said that February saw seven Western Disturbances, which meant that the temperature did not rise much during the day. Now we will see this increase in the next seven days and the maximum temperature may touch the 30 degree mark for the first time this season.
Talking about the air quality, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is rising again and was recorded at 200 (moderate) at 7 am on Wednesday. It stood at 170 (moderate) as compared to 4 pm on Tuesday.
AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, between 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, between 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, between 201 and 300 ‘poor’, between 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ And an AQI between 401 and 500 is considered ‘severe’.
The February average maximum temperature in the capital was 24.2 degrees Celsius, while the normal monthly average was 23.9 degrees Celsius. However, weather officials say that despite this rain, the mercury is expected to rise in the coming days and it may touch the 30-degree mark by March 7.
