Nagpur. 33 KVA power panel is to be installed in Pench-2 water purification center by Municipal Corporation and OCW. Similarly, on the Pandey Layout main aqueduct from Badi Tanki (MBR) at Seminary Hills, the old sluice valves are to be replaced with a new 1,000 mm butterfly valve. Apart from this, 4 main water channels are to be connected at Seminary Hills Tank.
It is expected that the time taken for all the works is about 36 hours. Due to this, OCW informed that the water supply of 4 zones of West Nagpur and South-West Nagpur remained fragmented from 10 am to 28 pm on January 27. It is said that a total of 22 tanks of Dharampeth zone, Laxminagar zone, Hanumannagar zone and Malwari zone will not get water supply during the said days.
Water supply of Governor’s House also broken
It is said that reform works are carried out from time to time to ensure smooth water supply to the city. In this direction, these long pending works have to be completed. There are many big customers in the areas where improvement work is being done. These water channels supply water not only to government but also to government offices of semi-government and central government. Especially due to the broken water supply of 36 hours, the Governor’s House will also not have water supply during this period. Apart from this, water supply of MES, MECL, WCL, Government Milk Scheme, Gondwana Club, IG Bungalow, CPWD, Postal Colony will be disrupted.
These tanks will be affected
Dharampeth Zone: – Seminary Hills, Ramnagar Tank, Rifle Line, Futala Line.
Laxminagar Zone :- Gayatrinagar Tank, Pratapnagar Tank, Khatla Tank, Trimurtinagar Tank, Takli Seam Tank, Jaytala Tank, Laxminagar New Tank.
Hanumannagar Zone :- Chinchbhavan Tank, NIT Tank.

Water supply will not be done even by tanker
It was told by OCW that water supply of 28 tanks under Lakdaganj, Satranjipura, Nehrunagar and Asinagar zones will also be disrupted. Since only Pench-2 water purification will remain closed. Therefore, due to non-supply of water to the tanks, it will also have an adverse effect on the water supply by the tanker. Therefore, as per the requirement, also appealed to store enough drinking water for 36 hours.
