Bhayandar: The decision to restart the water connection, which was closed after the demand of Shiv Sena, was taken in the general meeting of Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation on Tuesday. However, a new connection will be given only if it is deemed necessary.
It is noteworthy that in view of the water crisis, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik had demanded closure of the new water connection. After that, on 1 November 2021, Commissioner Dilip Dhole stopped giving water connections. Due to this people were deprived of drinking water. During the discussion, auditorium leader Prashant Dalvi said that the shortage of water has reduced considerably now. Water supply is being done at an interval of 24 to 30 hours. So water connection should be started.
