For the last 13 years, there is a demand for the construction of a bridge over the Wardha river, yet this demand is being completely ignored, the citizens of the area are traveling by boat putting their lives at risk, getting fed up with it on 26 January. The villagers have decided to agitate.
The demand for a bridge over the Wardha river between Sirsoli-Nimbarni of tehsil is pending since 2008. For this, social workers Ashish Wagh, Sharad Chavan kept demanding that memorandums were submitted from the Public Works Department to MPs, MLAs and Ministers, but due to the change of government, the problem remained the same. The former MLA had made arrangements for this bridge in the budget, but due to non-availability of funds, the construction work of the bridge has come to a standstill.
Citizens of Amravati and Wardha districts will be involved
On January 26, there will be an agitation to draw the attention of the government to the demand for a bridge over the Sirsoli-Nimbarni river. , Praveen Shahane, Vilas Dolas, Raghunath Pradhan, Balu Ubhad, Ashok Shahane, Prashant Kankle and the citizens of neighboring villages including Sirsoli, Nimbharni will be involved. Due to this problem on the border of Wardha and Amravati districts, citizens of both the districts will be present at the site of agitation.
Will draw the attention of the government through the movement
This is our demand since 2008, but till now the bridge work has not been done on the river, the citizens of both the villages have to bear the tragedies, there is a risk of their lives if they travel by boat, this movement will attract the attention of the government.
