Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the second campus of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute in Kolkata through video conferencing. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and many Union ministers and BJP leaders were present on the occasion through video conferencing.
However, during this time, CM Mamta Banerjee was once again angry with PM Modi. CM claimed that we have already inaugurated the hospital which PM Modi is inaugurating. Mamta Banerjee was seen angry from the beginning of the program.
He first expressed his displeasure at the anchor and said that you forgot my title too or you got nervous. Mamta said that the Health Minister had called me twice to attend this program. That’s why I thought that this is a program in Kolkata, in which the Prime Minister himself has shown interest. That’s why I must be involved in this.
Mamta Banerjee further said that but I want to tell PM Modi for information that we had already inaugurated it. We needed centers in the Corona era. During this we saw that Chittaranjan Hospital is attached to the state government. In such a situation, we inaugurated it and made it a corona center. It proved to be very helpful.

However, he thanked PM Modi for inaugurating the complex and dedicating it to the people of India. Along with this, he also appealed to the PM to increase the medical seats in the state. During this, Mamta Banerjee also complained to the PM that the governor often interferes in the decisions of the Bengal government despite following the instructions of the Center.
He said that we have ensured through our works that the image of our country is not tarnished. We have started various schemes like Swasthya Sathi and started dialysis centres. People are also getting 40 percent discount on medicines. The TMC chief said that the vaccination is going well in the state and a demand has been made from the Center for more doses of the vaccine.

The second campus of CNCI has been constructed at a cost of over Rs 530 crore. For this, the central government has given a grant of about Rs 400 crore. The campus will also serve as an advanced cancer research facility and provide comprehensive care to cancer patients especially from the eastern and north-eastern parts of the country.
Weather Forecast: There will be torrential rain in these states till January 11, IMD also predicted dense fog
CNCI was heavily burdened with cancer patients and the need for its expansion was felt for some time now. With the construction of the new campus of CNCI, the burden on it will be reduced. The new campus will have a 460-bed Comprehensive Cancer Unit equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
