Akola. Corona vaccination in five districts of Amravati division has crossed 1 crore 13 lakh mark by the end of the year. Amravati, Buldhana and Yavatmal districts are leading in vaccination and Akola is fourth and Washim is fifth. Till the evening of January 6, 1 crore 13 lakh 40 thousand 806 citizens of all the five districts have got the benefit of the vaccine.
Still, the information about the vaccine stock remaining from 1 lakh has been given by the sources of the Deputy Director of Health’s office. About 56,448 adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years have been benefited from this vaccination in the last three days in the department. The Health Department has become alert regarding the third wave of Corona.
Corona vaccination is in full swing for the last ten months in all the five districts of Amravati division. So far 1 crore 13 lakh 40 thousand 806 citizens have been benefited from the vaccination. Since the start of vaccination, Amravati division has received 1 crore 14 lakh 48 thousand 270 doses of Covishield and Covaccine. Out of which Amravati district alone has got 28 lakh 25 thousand 220 doses.
After this, Buldhana district has received 27 lakh 91 thousand 940 doses and Yavatmal district has received 27 lakh 45 thousand 260 doses. Akola district got 17 lakh 95 thousand 180 doses while Washim district got the least 14 lakh 53 thousand 670 doses. It has higher dosages of Covishield than Covaccine. In the last nineteen months, 1 crore 13 lakh 40 thousand 806 citizens have been vaccinated in 1,41,060 sessions. This includes persons aged 15 to 17 years, 18 to 44 and above 44 years of age. These include health workers, front line workers. All of them have taken doses of both Coveshield and Covaccine to protect against corona. During 19 months, 1 lakh 41 thousand 60 vaccination sessions have been conducted in all the five districts.
In which more than 1 crore citizens have taken the benefit of vaccination. In which 17 lakh 30 thousand 676 citizens have taken Covishield and Covaccine doses in 21,262 sessions since the start of vaccination till 6 January. Similarly in Amravati district, 29,03,317 of the age group of 18 to 60 in 25,990 sessions,
In Buldhana district, 16,31,079 in 29,354 sessions, in Washim district 13,47,377 in 22,259 sessions and in Yavatmal district in 42,195 sessions, 27,28,357 people took the first and second doses of the vaccine. has been added. Vaccination for 15 to 17 year olds as well as 18 to 44 year olds is getting tremendous response. So far, about 56,448 youth in the age group of 15 to 17 years and 59 thousand youth in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated. Similarly, more than 50 lakh people in the age group of 45 to 59 years have been benefitted by the vaccination.
