Aurangabad: The Mahavikas Aghadi government, established under the leadership of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, made efforts to promote the Marathi language and with the aim of inculcating the language in children in their childhood, every trader started selling Marathi at his shop. It has been decided to set up a board in Traders should implement this decision immediately or else Shiv Sena will take a tough role to put up Marathi boards on the shops. This warning was given by Shiv Sena’s Aurangabad Former Assembly Organizer and former Municipal Chairman Raju Vaidya here.
He informed that the government’s decision to put Marathi board on the shops in the state has been issued. Through the Marathi board, children are instilled in them even though they do not know the language. In order to preserve the local language, it is necessary to increase its use. The Shiv Sena had already demanded to put up Marathi language boards on the merchant establishments. Recently, Yuva Sena chief and state environment minister Aaditya Thackeray and state’s Marathi official language promotion minister Subhash Desai had demanded from Chief Minister Thackeray to put up Marathi boards at shops. Taking the intervention of this demand, a decision was taken last week in the cabinet meeting to put up boards in Marathi at every shop. To implement this decision, now the shopkeepers should come forward and start putting up their shop’s boards in Marathi. Otherwise, Shiv Sena will aggressively take up the campaign to put up shop boards in Marathi.

Vaidya’s sharp reply to the President of the Federation of Traders
On the other hand, on the request made by Shiv Sena leader Raju Vaidya to immediately set up Marathi boards for traders, Aurangabad District Traders Federation President Vijay Jaiswal clearly said that we will not listen to threats. The state government has recently decided to set up a Marathi board. We welcome that decision. It takes time to execute any decision. The government passed the rule and everything changed in a few days, it doesn’t happen. Traders always follow the rules of the government because it is the religion of the traders to follow the rules. Aurangabad is the capital of tourism. Every year lakhs of tourists from all over the country and abroad visit the market. In such a situation, traders will make a board of English as well as Marathi. It will take time for that.
not afraid of threats
Jaiswal said that perhaps the Shiv Sena leaders are threatening the traders by keeping the Aurangabad municipal elections in front. We are not afraid of threats. Jaiswal said that Love Aurangabad has been written in English at many intersections of Aurangabad. First Shiv Sena should remove those boards. Then threaten us. The GR of the rule passed by the government by Jaiswal has not yet reached the collector’s office. Even before that Shiv Sena leaders are intimidating us, but we are not afraid of their threats.
