- Number of accused increased to 4, 10 days FCR
Alapally, Recently, the Forest Department had arrested 3 accused in the case of hunting a tiger with a live wire and cutting its head and nails in the forest of Mausam village under Alapalli Forest Department. But on Sunday, one of the accused related to this case has come under the hands of the forest department.
After presenting it in the court, the court has ordered to keep it in forest custody for 10 days. The arrested accused’s name is Kantarao alias Srikant Jogayya Porchetty (25), a resident of Digda village in Asifabad district of Telangana state. Due to which now the number of accused has reached 4. Here the Forest Department is seriously investigating this matter.
The third accused is still absconding
In this case, initially the forest department had detained 8 suspects for interrogation. In which 3 accused confessed to the crime of hunting a tiger. At the same time, information was given to send the head of the tiger to the state of Telangana. Here on the basis of information received from the accused, the forest officials had confiscated teeth, nails and whiskers. The process of arresting the first three accused and presenting them in the court was going on. But in the meantime an accused named Rakesh Gedam had absconded. Which is being searched by the Forest Department.
Forest department investigating in Telangana
Three teams of Alapalli Forest Department have been dispatched towards Telangana state as soon as the connection of tiger hunting case is related to Telangana state. At the same time, the forest officers of the teams are investigating the tiger poaching case by reaching Telangana state. Due to which the number of accused in this case is expected to increase. The Forest Department is seriously investigating this matter.
