The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch the first satellite of this year today. According to the information given by ISRO, 10 satellites will be launched from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center on November 7 at 3:02 pm. For this, the countdown of PSLV-C49 has started.
According to the information given on ISRO’s website, this will be the 51st mission of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C49). Through this, EOS-01 will be launched as a primary satellite and 9 international customer satellites will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.
Satellite ES-01 will help in farming and disaster management
ES-01 is an Earth Observation Satellite. It will be used for farming, forestry and disaster management support. Customer satellites will be launched under the commercial agreement. This agreement has happened with NewSpace India Limited, Department of Space.
Instructions issued in view of corona epidemic
The corona epidemic has also had a major impact on launching. Due to this, ISRO has issued special guidelines.
- No plans have been made to mobilize media persons at Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center.
- The viewing gallery (from where the launching is viewed) will be closed during launch.
- The launch will be telecast live which will be done on ISRO’s website, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channel.
