Indian cricket team is on tour of South Africa. Where a 3-match Test series and ODI series will be played under the bilateral series (India vs South Africa Bilateral Series 2021-2022). The first test series will be there.

The first match of the Test series between India and South Africa (India vs South Africa Test Series 2021) will start from December 26 at the Centurion ground. And, when the news came that Team India’s hitman Rohit Sharma was out of the Test series, everyone’s eyes were on who would be made the Vice Captain in the Test team. Now BCCI has announced that KL Rahul will be the Vice Captain of Team India in the tour of South Africa. And, it is believed that KL Rahul will also appear in the role of opener for India.

It is worth noting that apart from the captain of the Test team, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul is one of the few players who have a place in the teams of all three formats of Indian cricket. However, in IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis scored slightly more than KL in terms of runs, KL but KL Rahul’s batting average topped the previous season.

The batting average of Faf du Plessis was 45.21 and that of Rituraj Gaikwad was 43.35. KL Rahul’s batting average was much higher than these two batsmen. His meticulous batting and excellent performance impressed and attracted the team selectors of BBCI.
