Indian Railways periodically increase the number of trains due to the increasing number of passengers in the festival season. However, they are run for a limited time. Some such trains were run till the end of January or early February but now they have been extended further. The train running from Manduadih to Lokmanya Tilak (Terminal) will run on the tracks till further notice. Apart from this, some trains running between Pune-Darbhanga, Pune-Gorakhpur, Pune-Lucknow, Pune-Manduadih and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur have been decided to run by the end of March 2021. This decision of Northeast Railway will benefit the people of Eastern Uttar Pradesh very much because almost all of these trains are passing through Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The complete list of festivals that the Northeast Railways has decided to run on special trains is given below.

Decision to run these trains by the end of March 2021
- Train 01033- The train running between Pune to Darbhanga was supposed to run till 27 January but now it will run till 31 March 2021. This train runs on Wednesday.
- Train 01034- The train running between Darbhanga to Pune was supposed to run till 29 January but now it will run till 2 April 2021. This train runs on Friday.
- Train 01115- The train running between Pune to Gorakhpur was supposed to run till 28 January but now it will run till 25 March 2021. This train runs on Thursday.
- Train 01116- The train running between Gorakhpur to Pune was supposed to run till 30 January but now it will run till 27 March 2021. This train runs on Saturday.
- Train 01407- The train running between Pune to Lucknow Junction was to be run till 26 January but now it will be run till 30 March 2021. This train runs on Tuesday.
- Train 01408- The train running between Lucknow Junction to Pune was supposed to run till 28 January but now it will run till 1 April 2021. This train runs on Thursday.
- Train 02135- The train running between Pune to Manduadih was to be run till 25 January but now it will run till 29 March 2021. This train runs on Monday.
- Train 02136- The train running between Manduadih to Pune was supposed to run till 25 January but now it will be run till 31 March 2021. This train runs on Wednesday.
- Train 02165- The train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Gorakhpur was to be run only till 1 February but now it will be run till 29 March 2021. This train runs on Thursday and Monday.
- Train 02166- The train running between Gorakhpur to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus was to be run till 2 February but now it will be run till 30 March 2021. This train runs on Friday and Tuesday.
- Train 02031- The train running between Pune to Gorakhpur was to be run only till 3 January February but now it will be run till 30 March 2021. This train runs on Tuesday and Saturday.
- Train 02032- The train running between Gorakhpur to Pune was to be run only till 1 February but now it will be run till 1 April 2021. This train runs on Thursday and Monday.
- Train 01079- The train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Gorakhpur was to be run till 28 January but now it will be run till 25 March 2021. This train runs on Thursday.
- Train 01080- The train running between Gorakhpur to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus was supposed to run till 30 January but now it will be run till 27 March 2021. This train runs on Saturday.

- Train 02167- The train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Manduadih was to be run till 31 January but now it will be run till further notice. This train runs daily.
- Train 02168- The train running between Gorakhpur to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus was to be run till February 1, but now it will be run till further notice. This train runs daily.
