Travel Ban Imposed by Countries For India: In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus in India, the travel ban imposed by the US has come into effect from Tuesday. Recently, the US had also advised its citizens to leave India immediately and said that medical facilities have become limited here (Travel Ban India US). Britain had already put India in the ‘Red List’ of the yatra. That is, those who stayed in India for 10 days before the trip, they will not be allowed to enter the UK. Only British citizens, Irish citizens and those who have the right to live here will be admitted to Britain. But these people also have to stay in the government’s quarantine center for 10 days.
The Australian Government has recently prohibited the return of its own citizens and has said that those who are in India and have stayed in India for 14 days before coming to Australia cannot enter. Talking about other countries, Iran has banned travelers coming from India since April 26 (Travel Restriction India Coronavirus). Kuwait has banned flights coming from India from April 24. Taiwan has banned travelers coming from India on 3 May. Indonesia has decided that it will not issue visas to foreigners who have visited India within the last 14 days. India’s neighboring Nepal has banned all domestic flights from May 3 and international flights from May 5.
Israel imposed a temporary ban
Israel has imposed a temporary ban on its citizens from traveling to India. This rule came into force from 3 May and will continue till 16 May. Singapore has banned long-term pass holders and short-term travelers who have traveled to India within the last 14 days. This rule is applicable from April 24 (Travel Restriction India Coronavirus). Since April 23, Canada has suspended all flights coming from India for 30 days. However, there is no restriction on cargo flights. New Zealand has banned all flights coming from India till further orders.
Germany granted exemption in some cases
Germany has also banned people coming from India. But it has given exemption to those who are citizens of Germany, permanent residents of the place, people who are traveling immediately for humanitarian reasons or who are traveling on the orders of UN and IAEA. Bangladesh has extended the ban on people coming from India via air / rail / land till 9 May. Flight operations from Dhaka have been suspended since April 14. Cargo planes are exempted (Travel Restriction India Coronavirus). Italy has banned those coming from India since 26 April, but those citizens of Italy can come, who will be ready to show the negative report of COVID and be quarantined.
Oman banned in April
Oman has banned entry of Indians from April 24 until further orders. Only citizens of Oman, ambassadors, health workers and their families are allowed to show negative test reports and admission only if they are quarantined. Djibouti has prohibited entry of passengers coming from India. Nigeria has banned entry of passengers staying in India for the last 14 days from May 4. The United Arab Emirates has increased the ban on flights coming from India. Earlier, it was banned for 10 days from April 24. However, UAE citizens, embassy officials, official delegation officials and traders traveling on chartered flights are allowed entry.
