Nagpur. The resident doctors boycotted the work in the OPD from Friday under the aegis of Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors (MARD). Junior doctors did not serve in any department except for emergency services. During this, senior doctors remained active to run the health systems smoothly. However, with the news of the strike a day earlier, there was a sudden drop in the number of patients.
Let us inform that on Thursday, the President of Mard, Dr. Sajal Bansal, wrote a letter to the GMCH Dean regarding the continuous neglect of the government and top officials. In which he told the problem while narrating his grief. Along with this, in the letter, he also mentioned about the services provided during the COVID period. They have been continuously making their problems known to the government and the hospital management. According to junior doctors, their demands were constantly ignored, due to which they had to take steps like strike.
senior doctor upset
The strike of junior doctors has given sleep to the senior doctor officers. The biggest problem is with Omicron’s wave. If the cases increase during this period, then treating the patients is not less than a big challenge. However, the government is also trying to solve this problem at its level. According to junior doctors, no officer or senior has contacted him yet. Their protest will continue till their demands are addressed and a solution is not found. They will continue to be involved in it.
