Nagpur. There was a stir in Nagpur as soon as the news of LTT-Jayanagar Express (train number 11061) crashed near Nashik. The people of the city reached the station to get information about their families. At present, no death has been reported, but helpline numbers have been issued to provide information to the relatives. Along with this, by making announcements at the station, information is being given to the passengers about the cancellation of trains and their arrival late. Due to cancellation of trains, 8 refund counters were opened at Nagpur station to refund the tickets of the passengers. Refund facility was provided to the passengers by opening 6 counters towards the western gate and 2 towards the eastern gate. Railway officials say that till 10 pm, a total of 132 passengers canceled tickets, which were refunded Rs 80,090.
2 trains canceled, many routes diverted
After the derailment of LTT-Jayanagar, 2 trains passing through Nagpur were canceled, while the route of 1 train was diverted. Train No. 12145 LTT – Puri Express is cancelled. This train opens from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal on Sunday night and goes to Puri via Nagpur. Similarly, train number 12146 Puri-LTT Express will remain canceled on 5th April. Apart from this, the route of train number 12809 CSMT Mumbai – Howrah Express has been diverted. This train reached Nagpur via Kalyan-Lonavala-Pune-Manmad. Along with this, Train No. 12261 CSMT-Howrah Duronto Express, Train No. 12289 Mumbai-Nagpur Duronto Express, Train No. 12811 CSMT Mumbai-Hatia Express and Train No. 12139 Mumbai-Nagpur Sevagram Express were also diverted. Apart from this, train number 12106 Gondia Mumbai Vidarbha Express was canceled at Bhusaval itself.
11 coaches derailed
The train going from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal to Jaynagar derailed around 3.10 pm on Sunday. 11 coaches of the speeding train derailed. The accident happened near Nashik under Bhusaval Division. There was a stir in Nagpur, Bhusaval and Mumbai divisions as soon as the accident was reported. Accident relief train from Manmad was immediately dispatched towards the spot. Apart from this, medical aid vans were also sent from Bhusaval and Igatpuri. Due to the accident on the down line, all the trains on this route were canceled or the route was diverted. However, trains continued to operate from the up line.
