Mumbai: Ban on wearing hijab in schools and colleges in Karnataka is causing huge uproar and protest in the state. The Karnataka government has invoked section 133(2) of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983, which states that all students should wear uniform clothing. In such a situation, slogans are being raised against it in many states other than Karnataka. In such a situation, from the leader to the actor are giving their feedback on this whole controversy. The name of poet, lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has also started in this list.
Condemning the whole matter, Javed Akhtar wrote on Twitter, ‘I have never been in favor of hijab or burqa. I still stand by that, but at the same time I have nothing but deep contempt for these hordes of goons. A group is unsuccessfully trying to scare some girls, which is very wrong. It is a matter of great regret.’
Raise your sons better! A bunch of ugly, cowards attacking a lone woman in a pack and feeling proud of it ? WHAT LOSERS! Shameful. They’ll be jobless, more frustrated and penniless in a few years. What poor upbringing! No sympathy, no redemption for them. I spit on your kind. https://t.co/tvsdBwREZO
