During this movement, elephants are causing extensive damage to the crops of the field. The villagers of Kadholi complex have been blown away by the increase in the number of these elephants.
The question of how many more days these elephants will have to suffer is being asked by the farmers and villagers. The movement of these wild elephants coming from Desaiganj, Armori tehsil to Kurkheda tehsil has started in the Kadholi complex since last one week. These elephants have so far damaged paddy crops as well as rabbi crops.
Till now there have been incidents of elephants damaging the crops of many farmers of the Kadholi complex. On December 19, elephants had damaged Bhaskar Hari Dhawale’s groundnut crops. At the same time, Patruji had ruined the paddy crops of Motiram Dhawale. During this, on December 21, the herd of the said elephants was roaming in the Kadholi-Savalkheda complex.
Wild elephants were seen residing throughout the day in the field of local farmer Gangadhar Yashwant Nimbekar. The elephants demolished the farm hut by breaking the cement pillars of the farm compound. At the same time, the paddy was damaged by vandalizing the agricultural pump of the field. After this, while reaching the Sati river ghat during the afternoon, these elephants damaged the crops of Devrao Maniram Wadhai’s fields like tur, barbati etc.
