Nagpur. A petition was filed in the High Court regarding the crumbling services due to lack of health facilities and equipment in Medical and Mayo. During the hearing on this, assurance was given from the government side to comply with the orders given by the court but it was not done. During the hearing on Thursday, Adalat Mitra Ad. Anoop Gilda said that instructions were given to the government to inform about the stopped supply of special blood bags to keep the single donor platelet machine functional in the medical college.
Yet nothing has been done in this regard. Even the reports were not filed by DMER and Huffkins as per the orders issued on 28 October. After the hearing, Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare ordered to complete the tender process by January 5, 2022 and issue work orders to the tender holders.
One company is giving refurbished machines, the other has no experience
During the last hearing, it was told on behalf of the public prosecutor that in the tender process, two companies have expressed their willingness to provide the machine. A company has mentioned the refurbished machine in the tender. According to the dictionary, it means renovated, updated and revamped, so that the machine is suspected to be completely new. To disclose this, disclosure has been sought from IIT Powai. Apart from this, another company has also filled the tender but it lacks experience. According to the rules, the company should have 3 years of experience so that technical services can be provided by the company in future. During the hearing, it was told by the government that in view of this technical issue, it would be appropriate to invite fresh tenders in public interest. Such a decision can be taken only within 7 days.
Install MRI machine in 4 months
In the order of 28 October, after the decision of the new tender, the court ordered to call for tender within 2 weeks and complete the entire process of tender in 4 months. The court had made it clear in the order that if there is any kind of financial constraint in this context, then the state government will resolve it. It has to be approved without delay. In the other case of MRI machine, the High Court had also ordered the government to install it within 4 months. If additional funds are required for this also, it should be made available immediately.
