Gondia, The employees of the corporation have been agitating since October 27 for the merger of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation with the government. It has been 2 months since this movement. Due to which the bus service of both the depots of the district has come to a complete halt. Counting staff are on the job in both these depots. While most of the employees are involved in the movement.
The special thing is that in both the depots, there is no one to drive the bus due to the driver being in agitation. As a result the bus is standing in the depot. The movement will not return without merging with the corporation’s governance. The employee is firm on this role.
Action on 56 employees
After the agitation started by the employees of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation, action has been taken against 56 employees of both the depots in the district. In this, there are 24 employees of Gondia depot and 32 employees of Tiroda depot.
Government will not back down without taking service
In this regard, Rapani employee Saeed Sheikh said that we are agitating for our just demand. Will not back down till the corporation is not merged with governance. This decision of ours is also supported by the common citizens. On the merger of the corporation, the passengers will also get relief.
Similarly, Amol Kajle says that this movement has started for the merger of the corporation with the state government. Citizens also have a response in our pain. They know about our problem. Due to which this pain will continue till the corporation is not merged.
Bus service completely closed
Bus service is completely closed due to most of the employees of Gondia and Tiroda depots in the district being in agitation. All the buses are parked in the depot premises. There is no one to drive these buses. Due to which the common man has to be deprived of the journey of ST.
What’s wrong with the common man?
Regarding this movement, Ramesh Thackeray told that now it has been 2 months for the ST employees’ movement. Since then, due to the closure of ST services, common people are facing problems. Have to travel by other passenger vehicles. He wouldn’t have been safe. Keeping in mind the problems of common people, it is necessary to solve it.
Similarly, Mangesh Baraikar told that the ST employees’ movement is not taking the name of ending. Due to which ST service has been stopped for 2 months. As a result, passengers have to resort to private vehicles. Due to which it has become necessary to find a solution to the workers’ agitation. Due to the agitation of the last two months, the condition of the passengers has become miserable.
On their demand, the adamant depot personnel filed a petition against the corporation in the court. The hearing of which was on January 5, but the court has fixed the next date without giving any decision on this petition.
Gondia Depot Chief Sahasram Naikane said that the 10 personnel who were suspended in the first phase during the agitation in the depot have been sent a show cause notice.
