New Delhi: Politics has heated up after a video of police brutality surfaced in Kanpur countryside of Uttar Pradesh. After the video became increasingly viral, BJP leader Varun Gandhi has raised questions on the law and order situation in UP, while Priyanka Gandhi has questioned CM Yogi Adityanath. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been taunted. It is being told that, taking action in this case, seeing the trouble of UP Police, Akbarpur SHO Vinod Kumar Mishra has been suspended. Meanwhile, in the video, a person eating sticks with the child in his lap has also appeared and he has told the truth of the whole incident.
Actually the name of the person seen in the video is Puneet Shukla. According to a report, he has put this matter in front of the media. Puneet told that, some people came to his brother Rajneesh Shukla protesting against the water filling the campus of Akbarpur District Hospital. Rajneesh reached the spot to see the situation, during which the work in the hospital was also going on. According to the report, Puneet told that, ‘When my brother was sitting there, after a while the police came and started lathi-charging them. As soon as I went to save my brother, they lathi-charged me. During this time I had my baby girl Bitto in my hands. Puneet told that, some policemen snatched Bitto from me.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has also shared this video on Twitter and took a jibe at UP CM Yogi. Giving information on this matter, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kanpur Dehat, Ghanshyam Chaurasia said, “Some people were creating chaos in this area, they were closing the OPD of the hospital and were also scaring the patients. We just used mild force to stop them. At the same time, a senior police officer in this case, Arun Kumar Singh, admitted that excessive force was used on the youth. However, later he said that the man was also trying to stop the construction work in the hospital. When the police tried their best to intervene and stop him, he had cut off the hand of a police inspector.
