In the Universe, a massive black hole is moving fast. Its speed is 1.1 lakh miles per hour. ‘Harvard and Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics’ has given this information. Harvard scientists have said that it has become clear that a massive black hole is roaming in the universe. The Astronomer of the Center for Astrophysics, Dominic Pesce, said that we do not expect a large number of great black holes to roam. Usually, black holes are seen in a steady state at one place.
A Harvard study surveyed 10 distant galaxies and supermassive black holes. During this study, attention was especially paid to those black holes, which had evidence of the presence of water inside the disc. According to the study, it is a massive black hole at the center of the J0437 + 2456 Galaxy. Currently, it is moving in the galaxy at a speed of 1.1 lakh miles per hour. Scientists are a bit surprised by the black hole rotating at such a high speed.
… So the black hole is spinning
According to researchers, the main reasons for such widespread activity of black holes are still unknown. However, researchers feel that the two great black holes merged together. Because of this a new black hole has been born, which is moving rapidly in space. At the same time, as another reason, researchers believe that the black hole is rotating due to the binary system.
The results were published in the Astrophysical Journal
The Harvard report says that the team of researchers has been focusing on observing this rare phenomenon for the past five years. It is hypothesized that if the black hole and the galaxy do not share the same velocity, then the black hole must have been shaken in some way. These results have been published in the Astrophysical Journal. It has been said that this is a clear case of a massive black hole moving in space.
