Lucknow: Union Minister for Road and Transport, Government of India, Nitin Gadkari reached Dasna in Ghaziabad, where he inaugurated the Intelligent Traffic System Control Room (ITS). During this, Minister of State Road and Transport General V.K. Singh (VK Singh) and Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh government Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present. On this occasion, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that this is the first such traffic monitoring central building in the country, which has been built in Dasna, Ghaziabad. Through this, every activity on Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be closely monitored so that public can get safe and convenient travel on both these expressways. He said that we are going to build a new expressway so that the distance from Delhi to Lucknow can be completed in just 3:30 hours. Its foundation stone will be laid in the next 10-12 days.
For this, Union Minister of State General V.K. Singh was trying relentlessly. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and MP V.K. All-round development of Ghaziabad is being done by Singh. Giving information, he said that with this intelligent traffic system and traffic management control system, accidents can be reduced to a great extent and every activity on the expressway can be closely monitored.
Will soon hold a meeting in Delhi
He said that next week I will hold a meeting in Delhi regarding the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. It aims to shift the logistics sector around the Eastern Peripheral Express. For this, land will also have to be acquired around the expressway. He also asked the industries of Ghaziabad to shift to this area, which will reduce pollution.
Today the dream came true: Keshav Prasad Maurya
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya said that an additional 6000 km of National Highways have been constructed since 2017 under the double engine government, which is a big achievement in itself. Appreciating the work of the central government, he said that completing the journey from Delhi to Meerut in just 50 minutes was a dream earlier, but today this dream has come true. He said that it is only because of this double engine government that Uttar Pradesh is getting special gift today, for this I want to thank the central government.

He said that the double engine government has brought a revolution in the field of highways. He told that the specialty of this system is that more than 150 cameras have been installed in it, which will completely monitor this expressway. If there is an accident anywhere on the entire express or any wrong side moves or any incident happens, then this information will come to our system through the camera, which we can remove as soon as possible. He said that by 2022 and even after this, the people of the state would continue to get the benefit of double engine government.
Traffic can be controlled better
On this occasion, MP from Ghaziabad and Union Minister of State, General V.K. Singh welcomed all the guests and told about the Intelligent Traffic System that the specialty of this system is that both Eastern Peripheral and Delhi Meerut Expressway can be simultaneously monitored with this system so that accidents can be prevented. By reducing it, traffic can be controlled in a better way. In response to a question, he said that all expressways would be interconnected, including Eastern Peripheral Expressway to Yamuna Expressway.
