Pull-Push Rajdhani Express: Indian Railways’ first Rajdhani Express running on pull-push technology will run daily from Mumbai to New Delhi from today. The Central Railway Zone issued a statement saying that it has been decided to increase the speed of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Superfast Special. At the same time, the provision of an additional stay in Gwalior is also included in this route. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also shared the statement that the Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express will be run at high speed with the revised deadline. Will enable passengers to reach their destination faster than before.

Train timing

Currently, this train leaves from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 4 pm daily and reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin at 09.55 am the next day. In return, it leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin every day at 4.55 pm and reaches CSMT, Mumbai at 11.15 am the next day.

Train route

Indian Central Rail Route 22221/22222 Rajdhani Express was inaugurated on 19 January 2019. The train was run twice a week with a first AC, three AC 2-tier, 8 AC three-tier and a pantry car. CSMT reached Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi at 10.20 am the next day, stopping at 14.50 pm every Wednesday and Saturday and stopping at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra Cantt. Later the demand for this train increased. This train was also flagged off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on 14 September 2019. But in the year 2020, due to COVID-19, the operation of trains was suspended.

Reservation can be done at all computerized reservation centers and website www.irctc.co.in. Only passengers with confirmed tickets are allowed to board this special train. Passengers can visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or download the NTES app for a detailed time in this train halt. Passengers are advised to follow all the norms, SOPs related to COVID-19 during boarding, travel and destination.
