Thane: There has been a case of illegal construction on the hill of Yeur. A dumper on the hill overturned near the settlement on Saturday morning. Bricks and other construction materials kept in the dumper were scattered around. The goods kept in the dumper scattered and fell on the road, he was going for illegal construction on the farm house of a local leader.
Yeoor Environment Society has demanded speedy action against those who do illegal constructions. The society will file a petition in the Mumbai High Court seeking to register a criminal case against the concerned officials responsible for the illegal construction, dereliction of duty.

It is alleged that despite complaints from NGOs and residents of Yeur, the Municipal Corporation, District and Forest Administration have remained silent.
