Effective steps to stop the sale and use of plastic bags
Conscious citizens allege that the Municipal Health Department has been entrusted with the responsibility of curbing the sale and use of banned plastic bags by constructing a removal road to prevent the use of banned plastic in 5 divisional committees of Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation. The people involved in the team are seen doing more taking action less recovery. Due to the sale, use of banned plastic bags in full swing in Bhiwandi, the plastic vendors located in the rural premises are in high spirits. Conscious citizens of the city have urged the Municipal Commissioner Sudhakar Deshmukh to take effective steps to stop the sale and use of banned plastic bags in order to keep the city pollution free and clean.
In the above context, a municipal officer said that the government policies are incomprehensible. Manufacturing of low micron bags should be completely banned. The license of plastic factories manufacturing banned bags should be cancelled. Made from plastic factories located in rural areas, the bags come in the market. If the bags are not made in factories, then how will the shopkeeper and the customer get it? If customers do not get the bags, they will go to the market with bags from their homes.
