Aurangabad: The pickup tempo collided with a tractor which was lying closed in the early hours of Thursday at Modha Phate in Sillod tehsil of the district. In this accident, a mountain of sorrow broke on the family returning to Mangrul after attending marriage with Ghatshendra. 6 people of the same family lost their lives in the accident. 14 people aboard the tempo were injured. The injured have been admitted to Government Ghati Hospital in Aurangabad and Government Hospital in Sillod for treatment.
A top police officer told enavabharat.com over the phone that the marriage of Shivram Mukunda Khelwane of Mangrul took place in Ghatshendra village on Wednesday evening. After marriage the members of Khelavane family were returning to their Mangrul village in tempo number MH 20 CT 2981. When the pick-up tempo reached Modha Phae at around 2 am, his driver lost control as he fell asleep. Losing control, he collided with an unnumbered tractor standing on the side of the road. The accident was so severe that the tempo was broken into pieces after the accident. In the accident, 6 people died on the spot.

60 year old Jijabai Ganpat Khelwane, 42 year old Sanjay Khelwane, 35 year old Sangeeta Ratan Khelwane, 45 year old Lakshmibai Ashok Khelavane, 52 year old Ashok Sampat Khelwane, 40 year old Ranjanabai Sanjay Khelwane all residents of Mangrul village lost their lives. Apart from these, Kasabai Khelavane, Ajinath Khelavane, Akash Board, Rishikesh RK, Santosh Khelavane, Dhulabai Narayan Borde, Dugabai Khelavane, Sulochana Khelavane, Ganesh Borde were seriously injured in the accident. Those who have been admitted to the Government Valley Hospital in Aurangabad for treatment. Whereas, minor injured Sarthak Khelavane, Omkar Khelavane, Kalabai Maske, Subhash Khelavane, Suresh Khelavane have been admitted to Government Hospital in Sillod for treatment. On the other hand, as soon as the police of Sillod police station got information about the incident, PI Sitaram Mhatre, Faujdar Vikas Aade, Laxman Kirtane, Ananj Joshi and employees reached the spot and took the injured to the government hospital for treatment. After this incident, there is mourning in Mangrul village.
