Dispose: In Nashik’s Niphad, the temperature continues to drop for the last one week. Here the temperature drops until the dew sets in. The coldest day of the season was recorded on Friday at the Wheat Research Center in Niphad. On Friday, the temperature of Niphad tehsil had come down to 6.5 degrees. People are resorting to bonfire to escape from the cold.
Nashik meteorologist Prof. Kiran Kumar Johare told that Niphad tehsil is at an altitude of 569 meters above sea level. Also, the density of air is high on the flat area, where the layer of air is deposited. The denser the air, the higher the pressure. The main reason for high pressure is low temperature. As a result, the temperature of Niphad in Nashik is always low. In addition, Niphad has a rich tradition of greenery and horticultural crops (grapes, sugarcane, onion, wheat, pomegranate). Due to this, high pressure air layer is maintained in the crop. Wheat yields are good here due to cold weather and black dry soil.
Temperature reached 6.5 °C
Niphad has a low wind speed, which is a complementary and important part of keeping the temperature down. Niphad has got the broad form of Godavari river. The current temperature of Niphad has reached 6.5 degree Celsius. It is expected to fall to 4 °C in the near future.
