Wardha. On behalf of the State College Non-Teaching and School Servants Joint Kriti Samiti, it has been decided to agitate on behalf of the State College, Non-Teaching and School Servants, on the main demand of the State Government to revive the Assured Progression Scheme and implement it with retrospective effect, as well as other pending demands. The teachers have drawn attention to the demands by holding a series of hunger strikes, if the demands are not fulfilled, the teachers have warned of an indefinite strike from December 18.
Accused of ignoring the government
Despite making constant efforts to fulfill the demands, the Higher and Tantric Education Department of the state government has ignored it, before this, there was a work band movement in September 2020, after which the Minister of Higher and Tantric Education gave assurances, but the demand was not fulfilled. On 7th December 2021, they staged a sit-in agitation, after which the teachers fasted in a series on both the days on 13th and 14th December in the Co-Director’s office.
Government recognized and aided vacant posts of non-agricultural universities and non-government aided colleges attached to the above universities have not been filled, this is affecting the studies of the students badly and has accused the government of ignoring other pending demands.
Teachers are invited to join
Teachers have decided to go on indefinite strike from December 18. Teachers have taken a call to join the movement.
