Devlali Camp: The police has arrested a fake person roaming around in the School of Artillery campus posing as an army officer. The work of registering a case against him was going on till late Tuesday night. This incident which took place in the sensitive area of the Army has created panic.
The incident happened late on Tuesday night. The team of Army Intelligence Bureau took this person into their custody. The name of the fake person caught is Ganesh Balu Pawar (26).
Army canteen card and uniform found
Police said that he is a resident of Rahsul in Chandvad taluka, but when he told that he lived in the east part of Nandur Naka, the police went to his designated area. Defense department’s canteen card and army uniform have been found from him. Army logo has been found on his vehicle. He was taken into custody while roaming around the premises. He was interrogated after he was brought to the Deolali Camp police station.

Cheating from youth in the name of getting job in army
Two-three years ago, a person was caught in this complex taking a photo of it. This person used to accuse people of 3 to 15 lakh rupees by pretending to get jobs by telling himself to be a Major in the army. In this mobile received from him, a Major Rank picture of Station Headquarters Devlali prepared using a forged seal, a Character Certificate and a Service Certificate have been found. Using these documents, Ganesh Pawar has taken a loan of Rs 39 lakh from Union Bank of India in Chandvad. The police are involved in the investigation of the matter.
