Summer 2021: Due to the weakness of La Nina, people will have to do more heat in this summer than every year. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), North India will be hot this year and most people of Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will have to face it. Apart from these states, people of Odisha and Chhattisgarh may also have to face more hot heat this time. According to IMD, in Delhi, Odisha, Western UP and Western Rajasthan, the temperature from April to June can be 0.30-0.68 degree Celsius higher than the summer of the common season. Like every year in other parts of the country, this time too, the temperature is expected to remain in the summer.
In La Niña conditions, there is a decrease in temperature at the Pacific Ocean. However, this time it is weakening and this situation is going to remain till June. Due to this, conditions of heat wave are being created. Although, globally, according to NASA, this year will be one of the six hottest years, but it will be cold compared to last year 2020.

Estimates of thunderstorms in southern states
Last week the maximum temperature in north and northwestern India such as Rajasthan, Mumbai, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha crossed the 40 degree Celsius level. According to IMD estimates, normal heat waves can occur in 10 states including Telangana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana. There is a possibility of thunderstorms from April to June due to which the temperature in most southern states may remain slightly above normal. Night temperatures are expected to be normal in other parts of the country.
This year will be colder than 2020
According to NASA, due to human activities, the average temperature of the earth has increased by 1.2 degree Celsius since the late 19th century. This is creating a situation of environmental imbalance and due to this, the ice seats and sea ice are getting depleted rapidly, due to which the sea level is rising. NASA believes that the problem of heatwaves is going to remain for a long time. According to a NASA report in early 2021 this year, 2020 was equated to 2016 as the hottest year. However, according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2020 was the second warmest year and 2016 was the first place. However, with respect to 2021, NASA believes that it will be colder than the year 2020, but since the annual record is being kept, 2021 will also be in the six hottest years ever since.
