Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden is opening a grand jury investigation into an altercation between a driver and an off-duty MBTA police officer.
The altercation — of which his workplace didn’t give specifics in a Wednesday assertion — occurred in April 2021.
“Our office inherited this investigation, along with many others, from the prior administration,” Hayden mentioned within the assertion. “We inherited it as an open and active investigation begun in April 2021, and it has always remained open and active.”
Hayden was stressing the case was at all times open after a Boston Globe story informed the story of Jason Leonor, who known as 911 to report a person he had had a visitors dispute with had pulled a gun on him.
