The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination (REE) for teachers was conducted on Sunday amid tight security across the state. In which internet service was stopped in some districts to prevent fraud.
5 people with slippers fitted with Bluetooth devices have been arrested in Bikaner for allegedly trying to cheat in the examination for selection of teachers.
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education had conducted the REE examination in 3,993 centers in 33 districts of the state. Out of which 16.52 candidates had registered. Tight security arrangements were made for the exam. Strict steps were taken to prevent any fraud attempt and internet service was suspended in many districts including Jaipur.

Dausa and Jaipur Rural Police have arrested 4 and 8 dummy candidates. Along with this, a gang involved in cheating has been busted in Bikaner, Ajmer, Pratapgarh and Sikar districts. Similarly 7 others were arrested from different places for cheating in REET exam.
Bikaner Superintendent of Police (SP) Preeti Chandra said that five people from Gangshahr police station area have been arrested for cheating in the examination. Out of them 3 people are the candidates appearing for REET exam. These people were wearing slippers with a small calling device via a SIM card. He further explained that a small Bluetooth device was placed in the ear of the candidate, which was not easily visible. Two of those arrested were gang members, provided slippers to the candidates for Rs 6 lakh. Bluetooth was installed in these slippers.
Chandra further said that he was arrested from the bus stand before the examination was held. During the investigation, slippers and other items were recovered. In this, Tulsiram Kaler has been identified as the main accused. Two members of the gang have been arrested. He said that after the arrest, the police of other districts have been alerted.

According to media reports, the accused arrested from Bikaner in Rajasthan have sold such slippers to about 25 candidates across the state. Let us tell you that according to the guidelines issued by the government in the REET exam, candidates can enter the examination hall only by wearing slippers. In such a situation, the copying gang invented a unique sandal. Bluetooth is installed in this unique sandal and its price is said to be 6 lakhs.
