New Delhi: Tension in Delhi has increased even more amid the panic in the country of the dangerous variant of Coronavirus, Omicron. According to the data, 57 cases of Omicron have been reported in Delhi till Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has issued strict instructions before Christmas and New Year’s 9 New Year to prevent the rising virus cases. Public programs have been banned in these instructions.
According to ANI, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has directed the DMs to take all necessary measures to control the spread in their respective jurisdictions, in view of the rising corona cases and the type of concern omicron. Under this, it has been asked to strictly ensure ‘No Mask / No Entry’ at shops / workplaces. It has also been said that, all DMs and District DCPs shall ensure that there is no cultural program/gathering to celebrate Christmas or New Year in Delhi.

By the way, according to the data released on Wednesday morning, 213 new cases of Omicron have been reported in the country. Out of which maximum cases have been reported from Delhi. 57 new cases of Omicron have been reported in Delhi. While 54 cases have been reported from Maharashtra. Three cases have been reported from Telangana (24), Karnataka (19), Rajasthan (18), Kerala (15), Gujarat (14), Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had announced that all cases of corona positive will now be sent for genome sequencing. Apart from this, Kejriwal had appealed to the Center to consider the booster dose soon. He had said that a review meeting would be held on December 23 to strengthen the home isolation program.
