During this, due to the two-hour Rasta Roko movement, there were queues of heavy coal-laden vehicles in the campus. The agitation on Monday afternoon was ended after two hours at 1.30 pm.
The transportation of heavy coal from Mungoli and Panganga coal mines of Wakoli Vani area on the road adjacent to Nakoda village starts day and night. Due to this the evidence of dust pollution has increased. Due to this, the residents of Nakoda are facing a lot of trouble. Due to dust pollution, it is having adverse effects on the health of the residents of Nakoda. Water is not sprayed from the tanker on the way from Wakoli, due to which potholes have been created on the way. This place has become an accident prone area. By giving repeated letters to the Wakoli administration, a measure plan was demanded, but due to lack of attention to this, the people of Nakoda organized a Rasta Roko movement.
As soon as the Rastaroko movement started, Omprakash Phulare, Sub-Regional Manager of Ghugghus Wakoli and Police Inspector Rahul Gangurde reached the site of the movement and met the agitators and discussed with them. At this time WECOLI assured to fulfill the demands. After which the Rasta Roko movement was withdrawn.
