A strange turn took place in the stationery scam in the Municipal Corporation when the Economic Offenses Investigation Department informed about the arrest of store keeper in-charge Prashant Bhatkulkar, who exposed the whole matter. It is noteworthy that Dr. Sanjay Chilkar, Medical Officer of the Health Department had lodged a complaint with the Sadar police station in the stationery scam. In this, he had told that Prashant Bhatkulkar, the store keeper in-charge, had informed about some rigging in the stationery supply.

It is said that on Tuesday, the EOW had called Bhatkulkar for questioning. The interrogation continued for a long time. According to sources, these documents have been sent for forensic examination to check bogus signatures.
