- 39 out of 41 files registered in e-governance from General Administration Department

There was a big explosion in the stationery scam in the Municipal Corporation when, during the ongoing hearing in the District Sessions Court, many disclosures were made by the Economic Offenses Investigation Department (EOW) demanding not to grant bail to Mohan Padvanshi. According to the officer probing the matter, Padvanshi was working as a clerk in the General Administration Department. In the stationery scam, 39 files out of 41 fake files ready to pay bills were registered by the same accused through e-governance system from the General Administration Department. With the approval of the Assistant Commissioner of the General Administration Department, the file was sent to the Finance Department for approval of the bill. The investigating officer believes that in connivance with the senior officer, there is a possibility of registering fake information in e-governance and sending it to the Finance Department.
Investigation of other departments is pending
According to the investigating officer, Mohan Padvanshi used to approve the files of the contractor with his login ID. Apart from the health department, the files of other departments have been approved after registering in e-governance, the investigation is still pending. He also expressed a strong possibility of destruction of all evidence related to the scam if the accused is granted bail. According to the investigating officer, 6 files have not been traced yet. A letter has been sent to the Municipal Corporation to provide all the information related to the scam. Some information has been given but some has not yet been received.
IT department has not yet given information
According to the investigating officer, the details of the login ID of Padvanshi are with the Information and Technical Department of the Municipal Corporation. Although a letter to provide this information has been given to the Municipal Corporation, but information has not been given in this regard from the IT Department so far. The possibility of absconding was also expressed if the accused was granted bail. On Thursday, the police placed the above information before the Additional District Judge of the District Sessions Court. After this, the court has kept the matter for hearing on Friday.
Approval being sought from retired judge
On Thursday, while a big disclosure has been made about the scam in the District Sessions Court, on the other hand, in the meeting of the Inquiry Committee at the Municipal Headquarters, the information about seeking approval from the retired judge for joining the committee was exposed. From the audit department and a retired judge has been empowered to make appointments in the committee, according to which the committee member Mr. Sanjay Balpande was entrusted with the responsibility of deciding the names of these two. super.
