collusion with senior officials
During the ongoing hearing in the District Sessions Court, many revelations were made on behalf of the Crime Investigation Department by demanding that Mohan Padvanshi be not granted bail. According to the officer probing the matter, Padvanshi was working as a clerk in the General Administration Department. In the stationery scam, 39 files out of 41 fake files ready to pay bills were registered by the same accused through e-governance system from the General Administration Department. The file was sent to the Finance Department for approval of the bill only after taking the approval of the Assistant Commissioner of the General Administration Department. The investigating officer believes that in collusion with a senior officer, there is a possibility of registering information in fake e-governance and sending it to the Finance Department.
6 files still missing
Quoting the investigating officer, Assistant Public Prosecutor Prashant Sakhre said that Mohan Padvanshi used to approve the files of the contractor with his login ID. Apart from the health department, which department’s files were approved by e-governance, the investigation is still pending.
