This year, on 16th December, as soon as the Sun enters Sagittarius, there will be a sourness and it will end on 14th January. Till then all auspicious work will be closed.
Why are auspicious works closed in Kharmas?
According to astrology, Jupiter is the lord of Sagittarius, the entry of Jupiter in its own zodiac is not good for a person. When this happens, the Sun becomes weak in the horoscope of the people. It is also called Malmas because of the Sun being dirty in this zodiac. It is said that in Kharmas, the nature of the Sun becomes furious, due to the Sun being in a weak position, there is a ban on auspicious works in this month.
Story of Kharmas
According to the legend of Kharmas, the Sun God rides on his seven horses and travels around the universe. The Sun does not stop anywhere during this circumambulation. But the horses associated with Ragh get tired due to lack of rest, seeing this, Suryadev becomes emotional and takes some to a pond for water to drink. Only then does the sun god realize that if the chariot stops, it will be a disaster.
When they reach the Sun God, they see two khar (donkeys) there. Surya leaves his horses at the pond to drink water and attaches the khar to the chariot. With increased difficulty, he is able to pull the chariot of Suryadev, during this the speed of the chariot also becomes light, Suryadev is able to complete the round of this month with great difficulty, but in the meantime his horses have rested. Eventually the chariot of the Sun once again turns at its speed. It is believed that every year the horses of the sun rest in Kharmas.
