- snatching employment of small traders
Wani, Not only did the bus staff suffer because of the longest-running ST strike till date, but many small traders lost their jobs around the bus stand. Their employment depended on the passengers coming to the ST bus stand. He used to run his family by selling food and drink, but now the silence in the bus stand premises is breaking his hopes. They want this strike to end and then achche din come.
However, like these small traders, ST employees also want this strike to end soon. But when the strike will end due to lack of agreement with the government. No one has any answer for this. At present, ST employees are on strike with their full enthusiasm.
They hope that the government will give them their due. He will be heard. Here the officials of the government are also claiming that the decisions that have been taken so far have been taken keeping in mind the good future of the employees. They are sad that the employees are not able to understand their intention. More than 50 days have passed since this ongoing cold war between the two. The matter is stuck at one place.
Every day a group of 40 to 50 people from the city is going to Azad Maidan in Mumbai to support the strike. The employees say that till now they have not taken any kind of political help in any kind of political campaign in this campaign. Along with food, the employees are bearing other expenses on their own.
Everyone is compensating for the expenses by donating. The same government officials say that at present the strike is being forcibly prolonged. The government has taken good decisions in the interest of the employees at its level, which they should think about.
ST buses are the main mode of transport in rural areas. Which is closed due to the strike of the employees. The private vehicles which are going in their place are charging double the fare. The common man has also become upset while complaining about recovery, but he is not being heard anywhere. The biggest problem is the small shopkeepers in the villages, whose shop’s goods used to reach the village only through these ST buses. Now they have to have a separate vehicle for their belongings. In which they have to pay more than before.
