- People in other places upset due to lack of conductors
Nagpur. ST Mahamandal has run buses for urban areas but they stop only at the designated stoppages. There are many such areas including Mouda, through which the bus passes but does not take passengers. According to officials, the reason for this is the lack of conductors. Mahamandal took drivers from private agency but did not take conductors. Due to this reason, where the passengers are facing daily problems, while the Mahamandal is also suffering financially. Its revenue is not increasing.
At the same time, some other vehicles are taking advantage of this shortage along with private buses. They charge arbitrary fare from the passengers. Some people are ready to pay rent under compulsion. If sources are to be believed, if there is no solution to the strike this month, then the trouble may increase. The employees are adamant on the demand for merger in the government, while the government is not giving any clear answer in this matter, due to which the strike has been prolonged. While the Mahamandal is incurring losses of crores due to this strike, more than 350 employees have also lost their jobs. Private bus operators are taking advantage of this chaos. Taking advantage of the opportunity, they are engaged in earning big money.

The biggest problem is coming to those people who are sick. They have to struggle hard to go to Nagpur or any other place. Every day people commuting for some work or the other are also troubled. According to the officials, there is a possibility of financial irregularities due to keeping private conductors. Checking points have also been made for the buses which are currently running. Monitoring is being done everywhere so that any kind of irregularity does not come to the fore because due to this, problems will arise for the Mahamandal itself. At present, everyone’s attention is towards ending the strike, which is possible only after the intervention of the government.
