The former Chief Minister claimed that since the last few months, many people have not been sent electricity bills and the government deliberately did not send them as they fear that public will hit them with ‘current’ if they send electricity bills. Replying to a question, the SP chief alleged that the way BJP sponsored PIL (Public Interest Litigation) is filed, in the same way BJP cannot contest elections from anywhere in the country. He claimed that there are cases against the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister also under serious sections and the maximum number of MLAs with criminal cases are from the BJP.
Referring to the incident of alleged assault between the then MP of Sant Kabir Nagar and the MLA of Mehdawal about three and a half years ago, he said, “We have openly seen how much fight took place between the MP and MLA. Their (BJP) recognition should have been canceled earlier.”
He also alleged that under the BJP government, false cases were continuously leveled against the people of SP.
