New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party after media reports about Sonia Gandhi’s instructions to Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to take action in the wake of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The (BJP) on Thursday hit out at the opposition party and said the Congress president was forced to take this step after seeing the anger of the people across the country.
Channi told the news channel “Aaj Tak” that the Congress President had told him in a message that the Prime Minister represents the entire country and his security should be given utmost priority. According to him, Sonia Gandhi said that if there is any lapse in security then punishment should be given.

He said, “The anger of the country… this statement of Sonia ji has come to the fore after seeing the public’s prayer and concern for the Prime Minister. At least Sonia ji has accepted that the fault lies with the Congress state government and administration.”
At the same time, he raised the question, “But it is not that the family has outdone itself by giving such an order to the pawn.”
It is to be known that BJP leaders today offered prayers and chanted Mahamrityunjaya in temples across the country, wishing the Prime Minister a long life. The party also launched a “Long Live Modi (May Modi be long)” campaign on Twitter. (agency)
