Lucknow: Yogi Government, which is trying to achieve new heights in paddy procurement, has so far procured 21.954 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 3,09,966 farmers in the current Kharif season. Timely payment is also being given to the farmers in return for the purchase of their produce. In the last 72 hours, an amount of 2697.15 crore has been sent to the accounts of farmers. The intention of the government is to empower and strengthen the farmers by giving them maximum benefits. Every effort is being made for this. On Thursday, 1.29 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured from farmers, which is a record.
After bringing incredible changes in wheat procurement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has made paddy procurement completely transparent. The number of paddy purchasing centers has already increased manifold. Not only this, instructions have also been given to the officials to pay attention to the farmers so that there is no problem in selling paddy. As a result of this, every farmer is getting full price for every grain of his paddy. In lieu of last year’s purchase, the government has so far sent Rs 3996.60 crore to their accounts.
